Republican + conservative * 8 = failure

For eight long years the Republican Party was in office and had the opportunity to make this country a better place, they instead created this disaster we in facing as I speak. Fist of all we had the most incompetent president in all presidential history, the guy could not even make a good speech.

What really sickened me, is that now that they are out of office they seemed to be the most genius that ever lived, the are high on the critics meter, every single proposal that the democratic party proposed they oppose it, I know this one of their role as the opposition but come on, don’t they see that they did not do the job with 8 years, why don’t they just give this guy the chance and the support to clean up their nasty mess they created.

Do I support everything Obama and the Democrats do? No I don’t, do I have a better plan to propose? No I don’t, so I don’t oppose it al all. this is simple how I see it, if there is a plan on the table and you don’t have one that’s better keep your mouth shut, how are you going to oppose something and you don’t have one simple idea of making a better plan?

The Republicans believe we can’t spend out way out of this crisis, they believe that tax cuts is the answer, listen guys you were there for eight years and gave tax cuts to the wealthy and it simple did not work, along with your market driven economy with no oversight. Give this guys a break allow him to try another way because your way had failed miserable.

This lack of oversight allowed the mortgage companies and the banks to cook up this big mortgages pot of uncertainty and sold it to homeowners who solely believe in what they were told by the bankers and real estate agents. Yes sir you could pay it with this income, you need to take this type of loan with money back, 100% finance including closing cost and lawyer fees. As a perspective homeowner with all these offers before you, what would you do?

This new housing plan that Obama has rolled out as complex as it is, I am not in total support of it. I genuinely believe there are some homeowners who believe in what they we told, and base on that they solely made the decision to buy a house. He stated they the plan will not cover those who knew they could not afford the houses they purchase, and still went ahead and purchased it.

For this I am really saddened, I think it should be a shared blame, educating consumers should be critical part of this plan so as to avoid these problems in the future, when this is left up to the market like it was they will take advantage of the consumers. The banks that made the loans to these individuals knowing that base on their income they could not afford the house should be 100% responsible. This is unfair business practice.

Therefore in my perspective the plan should help those individuals, I agree with the fact that the banks wont be able to recover those bad loans, but please that’s just PR speech, we all know that the banks will write off those assets as well, how are you going to allow the banks to write off assess excluding the bad loans’? Please Mr. Obama what I see happening is the people loosing and the banks being bailed out for creating the problem.

I don’t know if I am crazy one, to se looking at it this way, so I am asking for you guys opinions?

Rebuplicans are evil. I really sometimes wish that I was not so political, but I feel my hatred for George W. Bush in my bones.

Yes, the banks who caused the problem are the ones receiving the assistance...leaving the victims to fend for themselves.

The plan does entail that home owners who signed shady deals will be excluded from this package and I support that. Why?

People did take personal advantage of the lack of oversight in the industry. Sure, some were scammed, but how can we figure out who knowing signed a bad deal, and who truly got scammed? You can never truly know...as such, everyone of them should be punished.

One group for ignorance, the other for taking advantage of the system. Buying a home is something people should research and be absolutely 100% vested in. Do I have pity for an immigrant worker making $8 an hour not being able to afford his $100K+ home? HELL NO!

Omega: I doubt that most of the people who are in this problem are immigrant, and if someone is making $8 an hour I don’t see how its possible for them to get a loan, I doubt its that severe, and even if this is so, they must have family members who live in the house who makes more to pay for the house. Another point is that most of the people who are in problem qualified for FHA loans, so they had met some sort of requirement by their states.

It’s not only people who made bad decision to buy houses that they could not afford is going through this, allot of people who could have afford it cant no more, for example my friend and his them girl friend decided to get marry and they bough a house together she bailed on him marriage got cancelled and he simple cant afford to pay the mortgage alone. Now if you don’t know a person particular situation how do you make the rational decision on who to bail out?

Hey Hey! They were in no particular order! Don't make me come to NY and smack you around! ;)

And um about Obama & this whole stimulus package...I'm rather disappointed. I'm even more disappointed in the fact that we're sending more troops overseas.

All I can really say is that I pray everything turns out okay in the long run.

I ended up deleting my vlog...I wasn't expecting it to turn out the way it did. But I do appreciate everything you said.

I've always hated the bipartisan nature of our country...why do people find it so difficult to just believe in what they believe? Why do people feel the need to subscribe to a way of thinking at all? Ugh.

Saying that, I love hearing people make the point that Obama is not the Messiah but he's a hellava lot better than what we've had. For the first time in my life I'm excited for what this government is capable of.

I simply cannot understand a lot of these Republicans... they have such hatred for anyone that doesn't agree or think like them and can't see past it. They aren't diplomatic at all. I may not agree with them policy wise but if they could be more open minded and look beyond differences I could at least respect them.

And in saying that I have to say I hate the idea of parties in general... We should all just be working towards the well being of humans in general not using decorative words to cover greed by pointing out differences between us. We are all different who cares.

... lol sorry for ranting. Just wish things were better for everyone :)

Im so late to comment on this great post. This is really your niche. You explain the crisis so well, Im attributing it to your business background of course ;o)

I dont really have much to say on this issue. Im seriously waiting to see what will happen. I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing though.

It seems like its mine and many others people's only option.

Politicians are politicians, conservatives typically have always believed in small government, unfortunately it got quite large the last 4 years under Bush, and much of the benefit went the way of corporations.

I don't believe people who knew they couldn't afford something and bought it anyway should be bailed out because then you have the issue of is the government going to bail out students who went to colleges they knew they couldn't afford and people who used more credit than then they should have just because they wanted the iPhone.

This country is pretty lacking personal responsibility. There were however some criminal mortgage brokers out there and some of them are pretty well known many through employees squawking and others just generally known throughout the industry. If someone can pay a mortgage it will behoove both the bank and the individual to save it.

The plan is too comprehensive for me to have read in full though, but what I am hoping is that though conservatives say big government has never worked that in this case we finally actually make the government work. I believe that is his goal.

This is a very difficult if not almost impossible task.

It might be better if you allowed people from other blogging platforms to comment on your blog leaving their link. I'm just saying this as if I hadn't already written this comment before I noticed I wouldn't have bothered to comment. I know a lot of blogger people don't know that there are thousands of bloggers on other platforms and they prefer to comment and be able to leave their blog address.

First--welcome to my bloggy world! I just LOVE followers! (as long as you aren't trying ot get me to cash checks for stranded Princes of Nigeria and all...) Hope you enjoy it!

Second, while I tend to be an evil Republican, at this stage in the game I am just fed up with "politicians" regardless of party affiliation and mostly because of the complete political "me and mine" agendas on both sides. I blame both sides--the Democrats who initiated the "free money lending" programs to begin with and the last 8 years of Republicans who let it all slide. However, I also have issues with people who took out these "new" loans who knew that some day they would be handed a check (whether via arm loans or inflatable balloon rates) that the knew they couldn't pay. I'm just hoping we get back to being a nation where people,
politicians and parties are (gasp) held accountable for their actions. Not sure we will get there...
